In the Heart of the Snow

I am the fertilizer of spring

cleaner of air

and bringer of life–

and of death,

They ride together as one.

My heart lies in the center

between the flakes.

Can you enter there and find me?

Can you hear my song,

in harmony with wind and tree?

In my melody are the secrets of life and death.

Can you find it’s rhythm?

Hum along?

Dance it’s song?

Or are you determined to fear me?

Control me?

Mold me into some nothingness

adrift in

a screen of pixels?
